En el otoño de 1987 Félix y Rosa nos invitaron un día a comer en su casa de Santa Lucía, y nos hablaron de que la finca de enfrente de su casa la vendían por muy poco dinero… Así nació nuestra casa en Santa Lucía, que empezó a construirse el 28 de enero de 1988 con un sencillo proyecto mío, y que se inauguró el 11 de junio del mismo año, y cuya secuencia de construcción puede seguirse en las fotos que se adjuntan.
Como puede verse, al principio la casa no tenía tabiques interiores en la cocina y los dormitorios, el salón era un espacio a doble altura y el exterior carecía de aceras y arbolado.
Los árboles se fueron plantando poco a poco y las aceras se hicieron en 1989, pero la obra más importante de modificación fue la de hacer un nuevo techo de madera en el salón creando así el salón de arriba, tabicar los dormitorios y la cocina para independizarlos y construir el patio de la cocina con su pérgola. Todo ello se hizo en el año 1991.
Otro año importante fue 1993 cuando se instaló la calefacción y el depósito de propano.
En 1995 se construyó el depósito de riego después de fracasar en la prospección de un pozo.
Y finalmente en el año 1999 se construyó el pabellón para almacén y garaje.

The house
In the autumn of 1987 Felix and Rosa invited us one day to have a lunch in their house in Santa Lucia. They told us about a cheap field in front of their house who was on sale... That is how our house started to build, with a not complicated project of mine in the 28th of January of 1988. The 11th of June of the same year the house was being opened. The process of building the house can be seen in the photographs I include in this book.
As you can see the house did not have interior partitions in the kitchen and bedrooms initially, the living room was a double space of great height and the exterior had a lack of pavement and trees.
The almond and olives trees were planted little by little and the outside pavement was built in 1989, but the most important modification work was to make a new wooden roof in the living room (making then another living room upstairs), to build inside walls in the bedrooms and the kitchen and to create the garden. All of this was made in 1991. Another important year was 1993 when the heating and the propano´s tank were installated. The irrigation tank was built in 1995 and finally in 1999 we built the garage.
